“International Exchange English Camp” or “国際交流イングリッシュキャンプ (In Japanese)” is one of the activities started by Ganbaro Miyagi (an NPO). This camp was started after the great 2011 Earthquake in Tohoku region of Japan to support the affected kids by taking them away from the ocean to mountains so that they can feel relieved of the trauma of Tsunami that occurred during the earthquake.

Currently, this camp not only includes affected kids but elementary school kids from different places and is quite popular in other areas of Japan (Kanto and Kansai). The current activities include basic English activities for kids, that foreign volunteers can help with.

Most of all, the main goal of the camp is “To Have Fun“, as they always mention during camp. And I admit that it is so much fun. So, if you love kids, and to utilize your weekend in some good thing, then this camp is definitely the one you should try.
